PLC

PLC is the abbreviation of programmable logic controller. It is derived from “Programmable Logic Controller” = PLC. This is defined according to EN 61131.
The PLC is an electronic device which is used in automation technology to perform control and regulation tasks. So that processes can be monitored and controlled, various sensors, such as buttons, light barriers, etc., must work together. This works via different input and output interfaces.
A PLC can be used wherever processes need to be automated. This works for example in materials handling, building services or traffic. Examples are the control of elevators and parking garages or for example traffic lights.
