Scalable Automation That Grows With Your Business

Today’s warehouses are under more pressure than ever. Labor shortages, space constraints, and rising customer expectations are forcing operations to evolve. The question is no longer if you should automate — but how to do it in a way that truly fits your business.

As a hardware-independent system integrator, we help warehouse managers transform operations with scalable, integrated intralogistic solutions that grow as their business does. We design and implement the right mix of automation technologies. From robust, automated pallet storage to fully automated goods-to-person systems using i.e. advanced AutoStore (robots), Geek+ (AMR) and Movu atlas pallet shuttle technology. All managed through our in-house developed LogiCS Warehouse Control Software. Proven Solutions for Every Industry!

“It’s about starting small, thinking big, and preparing for the future. Scalable automation is the real game-changer.”

Machiel van den Hazelkamp, CCO Reesink Logistic Solutions

Why warehouse managers can’t afford to stand still

If you’re leading a warehouse operation today, these realities will sound familiar:

  • Labour challenges
Recruiting and retaining qualified staff is harder than ever. Automation bridges the gap without compromising performance.
  • Limited space
Commercial real estate is costly. Before you expand, utilize what you have. Maximize your existing footprint by unlocking your warehouse’s cubic capacity.
  • Rising service levels
Customers expect faster delivery, fewer packages, and more customization, especially in e-commerce.
  • Complex SKU dynamics
Expanding product assortments demand flexible systems that can handle everything from small parts to full pallets.
  • Pressure on margins
Automation reduces errors, downtime, and inefficiencies, delivering measurable ROI and resilience in unpredictable markets.

What we deliver

As a hardware-independent system integrator, we selected the best-in-class technologies which we use as building blocks to connect them into one seamless operation.

Small-parts AS/RS

Cubic Storage

Ultra-compact, fast, and easy to expand; automated storage and retrieval system.

Mixed-parts AS/RS

AMRs

Mobile robots for flexible, high-throughput material flow.

Heavy load AS/RS

Pallet shuttle

High-density four-way shuttle system for pallet storage and retrieval.

LogiCS WCS unifies all technologies with your ERP/WMS.

How we de-risk automation and design for growth

Data-driven intake

product dimensions/weights, conveyability, order profiles.

Process mapping

daily/weekly/annual patterns, peak handling, variability.

Facility fit

Clear height, floor loading, brownfield vs greenfield.

System design

right tech for today, modular for tomorrow.

ROI horizon

investment staged to match payback and demand scenarios.

Phased go-live

start small, think big; expand with zero downtime.

It’s good to think big, but start simple. Modern systems expand effortlessly.

Scalable automation examples

AutoStore

AutoStore is a proven goods-to-person automated storage and retrieval system (AS/RS) for bins. Within RLS we operate 170+ installations across Europe, reducing risk and accelerating time-to-value.

Why it works

  • Proven technology with predictable performance across industries.
  • High storage density on a minimal footprint—ideal when space is tight.
  • Scale without downtime: add robots, pick ports, and bins as volumes grow—no major rebuild.

Typical use

  • Micro-fulfilment, consolidation/putwalls; replenishment from pallet zones or pallet shuttles.
  • High SKU counts and many order lines/day; single-line or short orders.

KPI impact
More lines/hour per workstation, shorter order cycle time, higher pick accuracy, lower failure costs and higher customer satisfaction.

Geek+ AMRs

Autonomous Mobile Robots for shelf-to-person, tote-to-person, and sorting. RLS has a strategic partnership with Geek+ for highly agile G2P flows.

Why it works

  • Strong in mixed flows: connect inbound → storage → packing → shipping; run B2B and B2C in one operation.
  • Layout flexibility: reconfigure routes in software; avoid fixed conveyor constraints.
  • Rapid scale-up: add robots for peaks without stopping operations.
  • Use-case fit: seasonal peaks, changing SKU mix, combined B2B/B2C flows.

Typical use

  • Seasonal peaks, changing SKU mix, contract variability (3PL).
  • Store-replenishment sortation, returns handling, inter-process transport.

KPI impact
Less travel waste, faster dock-to-stock, higher mission throughput—agility without CAPEX-heavy rebuilds.

Movu atlas pallet shuttles

Movu atlas pallet shuttles for automated pallet storage and retrieval. The market is shifting from classic stacker cranes to 4-way shuttles for density, performance, and modularity, hence RLS’s strategic choice for Movu.

Why it works

  • Extremely space-efficient and fast—ideal for buffers, staging, and sequencing (incl. deep-freeze).
  • Phased expansion: add shuttles, levels, lifts, and aisles as volumes increase.
  • Seamless coupling with G2P zones for case/bin replenishment.

Typical use

  • Pallet-level flows in production & e-commerce; cold stores; WIP/finished-goods buffers.
  • Replenishment to AutoStore/AMR pick zones; feeding mezzanines.

KPI impact
More pallets/hour per aisle, lower dock dwell time, higher m² utilization, scalable without operational disruption.

Sky Storage & Ground Floor Goods to Person

SkyStorage

A dual-level concept: a Geek+ G2P system on the ground floor with automated pallet storage above. Replenishment between the two levels is fully automated.

Why it works

  • Maximize cubic capacity: exploit full building height—ideal in brownfields.
  • Flexible replenishment: automated (e.g., AI robot picking) or manual, based on SKU mix, packaging, safety, and ROI.
  • Flexible product mix: efficiently handle small and large items in one design.

Typical use

  • 3PLs and high-mix operations; seasonal peaks; combined B2B/B2C flows.
  • Sites with limited footprint but sufficient clear height.

KPI impact
Higher lines/hour and pallets/hour; shorter dock-to-pick and replenishment cycles; superior m² utilization.

Frequently asked questions

Will automation make us rigid?

No. With modular tech and proper planning, you gain flexibility—routes, flows, and capacity can adapt as your business evolves.

Do we have to automate everything at once?

Absolutely not. Start with the highest-impact area, prove value, then expand with minimal downtime.

What if our building limits us?

We design around clear height, floor load, and layout, often reclaiming significant space before considering extensions.

How fast is the payback?

We align design and phasing to your ROI horizon; Robotics-as-a-Service models can reduce upfront costs.
