AXRO continues to automate – scalable fulfillment power with AutoStore™ in Wittenburg

With a product range of over 9.000 items, AXRO supplies specialist retailers and distributors in more than 60 countries worldwide – and invests specifically in the further development of its intralogistics.

Following the successful use of an AutoStore™ system in the Hamburg warehouse, a further automated small parts warehouse has now also been implemented at the Wittenburg site. The system was planned and implemented in close cooperation with AM Logistic Solutions.

The project in Wittenburg focused on the strategic further development of logistics performance. In addition to the goal of making optimum use of warehouse capacity, the main focus was on improving fulfillment processes, greater flexibility and scalability for future growth.

From the planning phase through to commissioning, the specialists from AXRO and AM Logistic Solutions worked closely together to develop and implement the optimum solution for the complex requirements of the new logistics center. With an initial capacity of 40.000 bins, expandable to 80.000, the automated small parts warehouse offers a future-oriented basis for the growing business. 36 RedLine robots guarantee a throughput of up to 1,000 bin presentations per hour and ensure a smooth material flow.

In addition, 10 carousel ports and 8 conveyor ports, which enable fast and convenient goods removal, ensure smooth operational processes. The system impresses with its outstanding operating figures:

• Picking accuracy: 99 %
